Full time Marketing Assistant

Our new Marketing Assistant will work under the head of Artist Relations to discover the best up and coming talent and develop into an independent A&R rep!

This position will reside at our Batavia, IL headquarters where we work with some of the largest artists and management companies in the industry.

Job Duties

This position will focus on but not be limited to:
  • The head of Artist Relations will act as mentor to the marketing assistant, teaching them all tasks related to their position in order to evolve them into a full-blown Artist Relations Representative. The assistant will work in the background until fully trained and ready to be independent.
  • Network and use internet to find new potential SCP customers
  • Listen to up-and-coming artists and entertainers to identify who you feel has the potential to grow into a large customer for us and pursue them via your sales tactics
  • Market and sell SCP services to current managers in our customer base who have bands we are currently not providing for
  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads to ensure they are a good fit
  • Identify top selling points for potential customers and present them via sales decks, phone calls, presentations, etc.
  • Use continuous sales tactics to reach out to customers who are unresponsive initially by creating a follow up schedule for leads
  • Traveling to shows, events, or meetings as needed
  • Track all sales activities in company CRM system
  • Assist with Marketing responsibilities

Requirements

  • Has clear PASSION for the music industry/YOUTUBE industry/fashion industry/ or entertainment industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build strong rapport with potential customers
  • MUST feel comfortable talking on the phone and presenting at face to face meetings
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Experience in sales is a PLUS
  • General understanding of the sales process and dynamics
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Experience in excel and google sheets
  • 5-star customer service skills
